Cairo is the capital of Egypt, it's also the biggest and most important city in it.

Cairo is the largest city in the middle east and the 15th largest in Africa

Cairo witnessed a huge cultural diversity throw ages like Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic cultures.

In the Pharaonic era, Cairo named ( Iunu city ), it's a Pharaonic name means ( the city of Sun ) because old Egyptians considered the sun as a Holy god and you can see this in all pharaonic Sculptures.

and if you are interested about the ancient Egyptian Sculptures and you decided to visit Cairo so, you can visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square which consists two main floors with 160 thousand sculptures of different ages: statues, manuscripts, royal mummies, wooden coffins and ornaments, and complete collections tombs.
And if we talk about new Cairo, we will back to the beginning of Islamic history in Egypt when ( Amr bin al- Aas ) constructed Al Fostat city and then the leader ( Gawhar al - Sekili ) started to build a huge city in 969 called Cairo.
after this, the Muslim Leader ( Al- Moiz al fatimy) named Cairo many names like the city of thousand minarets and Misr al mahrosa which means Fortified Egypt.

In this Age Cairo witness The finest architecture after the Pharaonic Ages and it remains till this moment and you can see it in old Cairo houses and Mosques.

The three Pyramids are the most popular in the whole of Egypt, even in Maps, people refer to Egypt by Pyramids drawings.
it was built in 2480 B.C as Royal Tombs for the three kings  (Khofo), (Khafraa) and (Mankawraa),

 The shape of the pyramid was associated with the idea of the origin of the universe because of the Ancient Egyptians thoughts according to their religious texts that the Pyramid shape helps souls to reach the sky to the God of Sun ( Raa).

The great Pyramids remains to this moment to show how pharaohs were so genius and great Engineers in very early ages.

The River Nile is the pride of whole Egypt, it runs from south to north from really old ages and people called it the blue Nile
You can see it more clean and fresh in southern cities, But if you will stay in Cairo, you can have a delicious Dinner in the Huge ships at night and enjoy the fresh air and some Local music during eating
Ancient Egyptians used to plant different kinds of seeds on both sides of the river like Beans, Onion, Fig, dates, Olives and so many other crops
The River Nile has a special Sanctity for Egyptians in all ages till now, you can hear many songs telling how the Nile is Great and the gift from God to Egypt
The Nile River had been mentioned also in the Egyptian national anthem. And Believe it or not, some old families in south villages wash newborn baby's face with The Nile Water to grow strong just 

like it.
